Well, that's about it for Knoxville. The last straw just suplexed the camel at Kelly's job, thus predicating the end of our time in Tennessee. They just hired a newly minted college-graduate into a position over Kelly. This in and of itself is not a bad thing. It's that she has worked with her before. Apparently, she's very egotistical, and lacks the skill or the practical experience to back it up.
I can tell you good people one thing. The rest of our year hear is going to involve me keeping Kelly from killing people. The good thing is that I have plenty of experience in that particular skill. Lemme tell ya, I'm just too lazy to keep digging those shallow graves, yo.
Not that you will find me crying in my green tea over the end of our time in Knoxville. Kelly and I have already discussed the feeling that our time and attentions are wasted here. It's not a bad place. Just not our place. While I had found some quality freaks in and a place in the anti-culture in Tuscaloosa, no such degree of integration has occurred in Tennessee. As fascist as some of my beliefs are and can be, Tennessee makes me feel far left sometimes.
But, hey, there are good things, too.
Saw Sky High last night as catharsis for Kel. It was a lot of fun, with bonus Bruce Campbell goodness.
Small comic-toy con Saturday. Greekfest next weekend. Slayercon next month.
Not a bad thing, huh?

Still stuck there for another year, or are you leaving as soon as you can high-tail it out?
If you're there for another year, is it still okay if I come down for a couple of months? I have to stay here until the 22nd for some bullshit at UK (loan entrance interview, has to be done in person), and I have to go to Chicago next week to get my visa, but after that, I wanted to come down.
